green screen filming

A green screen that actually keys cleanly.

A proper chroma green wall, lit evenly with dedicated chroma lights, plus matte boxes and a fully-flagged talent area. Drop in your background in post without spending the next week feathering edges.

Green screen is a tools-and-lighting problem more than a creative one. If the wall is lit unevenly, the talent gets green spill, or the camera codec compresses the chroma — the key falls apart and post spends days roto-fixing edges. We've built the green screen room to avoid all three: a chroma wall lit separately from talent with dedicated fixtures, hard flags between subject and wall, and high-bitrate camera options. The result is a key that drops in clean without the rotoscope tax.

How it works

booking green screen

From enquiry to delivery — here's exactly how the process runs.

send the brief

Tell us the final composite environment, talent movement requirements, and any motion-capture needs. We pre-set the lighting balance accordingly.

shoot day

Walk in to a fully-lit chroma room. We test a key on set before you commit to the shoot to confirm the setup works for your camera.

composite or hand-off

Take the files for your own post, or our editor handles the composite + edit from £200/hour with reference plates included.

In the price

what's included

No upsells in the small print. The headline rate covers the kit and the room — add-ons are listed separately and you only pay for what you book.

Dedicated chroma green wall + floor — proper chroma green, not a painted wall. Sized for full-body talent with room for movement.
Chroma-balanced lighting — green wall lit separately from talent with dedicated chroma fixtures. Luminance variance kept under 10% across the wall.
Reference frame and trackers — tracking dots and grid reference included for post-production accuracy.
Flagged talent lighting — talent lit separately from the chroma background. Hard flags prevent green spill on the subject.
Sony FX6 cameras (optional) — high-bitrate ProRes capture if you want clean keys without recompression artefacts.
Loading bay and parking — free for crew and kit vehicles.
Why book this with us

reasons to pick echelon for green screen

Dedicated chroma wall lit separately from talent — even, properly-keyed background with no green spill on subject.
Tracking markers included on the wall — post-production accuracy out of the box.
FX6 cameras available for high-bitrate ProRes capture — no chroma subsampling artefacts.
Blue screen flip available (£80 setup) — for blue costumes / props that conflict with green key.
In-house compositor — our editor handles full composite + edit from £200/hour.
Loading bay for prop and grip kit — no stair access.
Shot a virtual-set news package here. The key was clean off-camera, the tracking dots saved hours in post, and the editor handled the composite to spec. Faster and cheaper than the Soho equivalent.
